Public-sector procurement increasingly requires suppliers to demonstrate genuine social value and rightly so. Contracts funded by public money should deliver benefit beyond the immediate service scope.
At MS, our social value approach covers six interconnected areas: local employment, skills and training, local supply chain, environmental responsibility, workforce wellbeing and community engagement. Each area has practical actions built into our standard operating model not layered on as afterthoughts.
Environmental responsibiliy is embedded in our operational approach not treated as a separate programme. From the products we use to how we manage waste, vehicle choices and route planning, we work to reduce the environmental impact of the services we deliver.
Our services operate within communities. We take that responsibility seriously engaging with local stakeholders, supporting community initiatives where we can and being a visible, trusted presence in the environments we work in.
